How do I activate my Pay?
What is Pay?
Pay is a smart wallet that supports password-free payments and facial recognition payments. It allows you to seamlessly send and receive USDC and USDT across X Layer, Tron, and mainstream Ethereum-compatible networks.
- Transferring via the X Layer network incurs no additional fees.
- To enhance security, Pay integrates advanced technologies such as passkey, multi-signature, and zero-knowledge email recovery, ensuring you have full control over your funds.
In addition, Pay accounts also support:
- Fund transfers between exchange accounts
- Directly sending digital assets to on-chain wallet addresses
- Social features: including direct transfers within chats and creating group red packets
Note: When transferring to external wallet addresses, corresponding on-chain Gas fees will be incurred.

FAQ
1. Why do I need to create a passkey to activate Pay?
- Pay accounts are based on a smart contract wallet architecture
- When creating a Pay account, a unique passkey is automatically generated
- All transactions in Pay mode require authorization via this passkey
2. What is the difference between the Pay passkey and the exchange passkey?
- These are two independent passkey systems
- Even if you have previously set a passkey for exchange login or transaction verification, you still need to create a separate one for Pay
- The Pay passkey is only used for transaction signing within the Pay environment
3. Why is it not recommended to use third-party passkey managers?
Third-party passkey management apps often lack necessary risk alerts and security protections, which may result in:
- Passkey being accidentally deleted
- Passkey being overwritten, making recovery difficult or even impossible
These risks are particularly prominent among Apple device users, as compatibility and system integration are crucial.
Therefore, we strongly recommend using the system's built-in "Passwords" tool to create, store, and manage passkeys to ensure optimal security and reliability.
